Synopsis

This documentary explores a former Berlin airport, closed in 2008, which has since transformed into a gathering place where people now come together to share moments of their lives.

This piece shot on 16mm explores intimacy and touch in one of the largest open spaces in the world. Where people, friends, lovers and families from diverse backgrounds come together to give each other a moment of tenderness.

The idea came to me when I saw myself there and felt in harmony surrounded by other people with very different backgrounds than mine and yet sitting on the same floor, sharing a moment, regardless of our cultural and language barriers. Each person who approached us was open and friendly, allowing us to approach each other in a natural and charming way.
